By now you are one step closer to feeling less lonely as you prepare to call or text me for a chat, but first please read in its entirety the following terms and conditions of the Phone My Friend Listening service agreement. The Client must be at least 18 years of age and agree to the following terms and conditions in order for the Client to use the services provided by Phone My Friend.
- Phone My Friend does not offer a counseling/therapy/coaching service or act in any way as a suicide prevention line. As a certified mental health first aid coach and a suicide gatekeeper, any client that mentions suicidal thoughts to Phone My Friend befriending and listening service will be very kindly persuaded by using the QPR method to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number, for professional help. Phone My Friend will presume that the client calls the number given to them upon our request. Phone My Friend will not be held responsible for any calls to that number that the client does or doesn’t make. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1 800 273 8255. U.S.A. Other helpful professional resources will also be given if needed.
- Phone My Friend does not provide mental, medical, marital, legal or financial advice, counseling or coaching unless you require *Postpartum doula support. Phone My Friend will not be liable to anyone for any damages including but not limited to, damages for personal injury or wrongful deaths, loss of business profits, business interruption and relationship or health problems.
- However I do provide helpful professional contact ‘resources’ to anybody in need of mental health advice.
- If at any time while on the phone the Client is rude, disrespectful, threatening, harassing, or overtly sexual, then Phone My Friend has the right to end the call, in which case the Client shall not be entitled to a refund. Phone My Friend also has the right to refuse service to any Client.
- Phone My Friend will provide a listening and advisory service to young adults/mothers under the age of 18 with the consent of a parent or legal guardian if the young adult/mother under 18 requires Postpartum doula advice, such as *advice about breastfeeding or any other personal newborn issues that the young mother has.
- By scheduling a call the Client agrees that Phone My Friend is a listening service and not a counseling/therapy/coaching, *advisory service or a suicide prevention life line and that Phone My Friend shall not be held responsible for any injury or damages suffered by the Client, or any other third party. By using Phone My Friend befriending and listening service, the Client agrees that he/she shall defend and hold harmless Phone My Friend from any legal action arising by the use of Phone My Friend befriending and listening service.
- Phone My Friend is a confidential befriending and listening service which cares for the client’s privacy. Please note that the phone calls between the client and Phone My Friend will not be recorded without your permission. If the client decides to share personal information to Phone My Friend it will not be shared with anyone else except in order to comply with an applicable law or court if needed. Phone My Friend will ask a client to contact 911 if they discuss anything related to intentionally/non-intentionally physically harming another person in the past, present or future.
- Because Phone My Friend offers a service based on integrity, no client/username can exceed more than 160 minutes per week in phone calls. Operating this way keeps your financial cost at a respectable level regardless of your income. Phone calls are $1.20 per minute and the first 3 minutes are FREE for new users! Text messages are $1.20 per minute with the first minute free!
